Nas - Daughters (Live on Letterman)…

This just aired a few minutes ago. Nas’ old man memory almost failed him, but he fanuted that shit last minute and saved the performance.

I dig this song and may not know the first thing about working a single in today’s market, but given the quality and variety of options he has on ‘Life Is Good’, I’d suggest that he and the label move on to some other shit. He really has something for everyone on the album. It wasn’t the album I wanted or was expecting prior to hearing ‘Daughters’, but it was oh so necessary given what’s happened in the man’s life over the last few years.

I’ve been listening to ‘Life Is Good’ on a loop since it leaked and I’ll definitely fanute a physical copy or two from Best Buy later. I hope to scribe something resembling a review in the near future, but I try to avoid that shit these days. Can’t really explain why, but I’d rather just write a bunch of personal observations - especially when we’re talking artists I’m biased towards anyway.
