How About Some Graffiti From 8th Graders?
Those are dividers. Teachers give them to students during tests. The idea is that, when used, the divider will prevent educational malfeasance, an impenetrable, unbeatable anti-cheat system.
I found a stack of discarded ones last year or maybe the year before. I wondered why someone had thrown them out (most teachers use manila folders turned on their sides; these are the good ones), but I didn’t investigate. Recently, while giving a quiz, I passed them out to the students. Shortly thereafter, giggles and murmurs began popping up. I immediately knew why they’d been tossed out.
