Freddie Gibbs does an upcoming verse acapella…
We’ll be hearing more of this on October 25th, when Statik Selektah’s ‘Population Control’ drops. That aside, I’ve read tons of articles about Gibbs that have likened him to Tupac and while I can see how people make the comparisons, I’ve never particularly thought it to be accurate. That’s probably because I tend to have tunnel vision when it comes to artists I champion. If the music hits hard enough, I tend to ignore the extracurricular shit unless I’m clowning.
But I have to admit, dude reeeeeally reminded me of one of those classic Tupac rants in this video. I bet that’s the Hennessey and Weed talking, but I’ll be damned if I didn’t get Pac flashbacks while watching this.
Anyway, none of this shit is neither here nor there. Shouts to Big K.R.I.T. too. We still waiting on ‘Live From The Underground’ mane (pushed back indefintely it seems. Was gonna cop that one and J.Cole’s shit on the same day). I hate the industry…
